Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LE COMPTOIR AND THE LOUNGE?
Le Comptoir is a dinner experience, an immersive tasting menu served at our counter. Our cocktail and wine list is available in our lounge nightly
along with a menu of small plates to complement our drinks.
I'M RUNNING LATE FOR LE COMPTOIR, CAN YOU STILL ACCOMMODATE ME?
Due to the nature of our tasting menu, we ask guests to arrive promptly as we serve guests simultaneously in a communal experience. For late arrivals, we will not be able to guarantee the full experience.
DO YOU ACCEPT WALK-INS?
In our lounge, yes! Walk-in guests are welcomed on a first-come, first-served basis for our lounge. If we are unable to seat you immediately, we will take your name and phone number and can notify you when space becomes available. Reservations are required for Le Comptoir.
WHAT IS YOUR DRESS CODE?
Our suggested dress code is casual-elegant, jacket not required.
WHAT IS YOUR PARKING SITUATION?
In addition to street parking, we recommend Lombard Street Garage, located at 2055 Lombard Street. The garage is attended and credit cards are accepted. Ride-hailing services are also a great alternative for those who prefer not to drive. We do not offer a valet service.
DO YOU HAVE A CORKAGE POLICY?
In the lounge, we politely request that you order from our cocktail, wine, and spirits lists.
At Le Comptoir, our corkage fee is $125 per 750ml bottle (one bottle maximum).
WHAT IS THE SERVICE CHARGE & SF MANDATE SURCHARGE?
A 20% service charge payable to Bar Crenn will be included in your bill and will be used by Bar Crenn to contribute to equitable wages and benefits across the entire staff. A 2% surcharge will be added to your bill to support the SF Health Care Mandate.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
Reservations for Le Comptoir at Bar Crenn are final and non-refundable. Lounge reservations can be
cancelled up to 12 hours in advance. Should you not arrive for your reservation or cancel with less than 12 hours notice, a charge of $50 per guest will occur.
